Paint Pouring on Objects

  • 2 Hours
  • 1 – 30 Guests
  • All Skill Levels
  • Bottomless Wine Included
  • Victoria Island — Alali 32, Musa Yaradua

Acrylic paint poured, tilted, and swirled across your choice of object : canvas, vase, tray, plant pot, coaster, or wooden board.

There is no brushwork in this session. No sketching, no outlining, no technique to practise before you begin. Paint Pouring is exactly what it sounds like : acrylic paint poured directly onto a surface and guided by tilt, gravity, and instinct until something unexpected and entirely your own emerges.

At Alali, guests choose their object at the start of the session. A canvas for the wall. A vase for a shelf. A tray for a surface. A plant pot to take home and fill. A coaster for a desk. A wooden board that becomes a piece of art in its own right. The object is yours to keep  and the design that lands on it will never be replicated, because no two pours ever produce the same result.

An Alali instructor guides the session walking guests through colour selection, pour technique, and how to move the object to direct the flow of paint. The rest is the paint doing what paint does when you give it permission. Sessions run for sixty minutes. The finished piece is left to dry at Alali and collected the same day .

Paint Pouring works for every guest regardless of experience or confidence. The guest who has never held a paintbrush and the guest who paints regularly arrive at the same starting point. Colour moves the same way for both of them. What changes is only what they choose to do with it.
